Youth football league signups set

What success will the Bartlesville High football team of 2030 achieve?

Even though we’re talking seven years down the road, that query will be largely answered this weekend.

That’s because Sunday will be the final day for the main phase of signups for Bartlesville Youth Football for ages K-6th.

There will be an hour of in-person registration Sunday from 4 pm to 5 pm at Custer Stadium on the Bartlesville High campus. This will be the final day for early bird prices.

Varsity football players are scheduled to be on hand to play football with the kids.

Scholarships will be available.

The ‘Y’ youth football program is the primary feeder for the Bartlesville High football program.

By starting at a young age, the players develop skills and football IQ that makes them ready to contribute immediately when they reach the high school level.

One of the components of the state’s big-school football powerhouses are consistently successful youth programs.

The Bruins finished 4-7 last year under new first-year head coach Harry Wright, the team’s most wins in four seasons.
