Xiaomi has started teasing the Book Air 13, which it will officially present on Thursday, October 27, during a wider launch event. For reference, Xiaomi will also introduce the Redmi Note 12 series, including the Redmi Note 12 Pro. Incidentally, Chinese retailer JD.com has already listed some Book Air 13 specifications, as well as a few teaser images.
Specifically, the Book Air 13 will weigh approximately 1.2 kg and should be 12 mm thick, mirroring the latest MacBook Air. Despite the small footprint, Xiaomi claims to have installed a 58.3 Wh battery, which the Book Air 13 can recharge at up to 65 W via one of its two USB Type-C ports. Additionally, the Book Air 13 will also rely on the Intel Alder Lake-U architecture, with the Core i5-1230U or the Core i7-1250U at its disposal.
Both 15 W processors with E and P cores, the pair support Bluetooth 5.2, Thunderbolt and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, along with LPDDR5 RAM. So far, Xiaomi has outlined that it will offer the laptop with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Arguably one of the best elements about the Book Air 13 is its display, a 13.3-inch OLED panel. Equipped with a touchscreen layer, the display will operate at 60 Hz with a 2,880 x 1,800-pixel native resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio. Undoubtedly, Xiaomi will reveal full details on launch day.
