Christian Pulisic being the star for the United States Men’s National Team isn’t something that happened overnight, as the Hershey, Pennsylvania born was regarded since a young age as a soccer prodigy and drew comparisons to other great athlete’s that preceded him, like LeBron Jamesdue to his skills, young age and expectations about their future.
Pulisic has been called “The LeBron James of Soccer” and now in his first ever World Cup is proving them right, scoring the key goal with which the USMNT defeated Iransecuring their advancement to the knockout rounds in Qatar 2022.

LeBron James took to Twitter to congratulate the United States Men’s National Team on defeating Iran and advancing to the Round of 16 in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The USMNT’s the social media team tweeted at LeBron James and showed their respect for whom they called “The LeBron James of Basketball”in a clear sign of joining the trend surrounding Christian Pulisic.
LeBron James has posted pictures wearing Pulisic’s jersey
This is not the first time LeBron James shows support for Christian Pulisic or the USMNTpreviously he has been seen wearing the “Captain America” #10 jersey in his Instagram posts.
Later it was reported that Pulisic had gifted him the jersey, but hadn’t actually met him in person by that point.
