RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women’s golf team announced on Friday that their fall season will kick off at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational, hosted by Sam Houston, from Sept. 26-27 at Sam Houston Bearcat Golf Course.
“I am excited about the fall with the level of experience of play that will be returning.” UTRGV head coach Bryan Novoa said. “We are traveling the country in multiple time zones and should be ready for the challenge. To have a schedule this diverse and challenging is truly a privilege.”
The Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational will be the first of four events this fall. The Vaqueros will then travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico to compete at the NM State Aggie Invitational, hosted by New Mexico State, from Oct. 3-5 at NMSU Golf Course.
UTRGV will return to the Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by Florida International, from Oct. 15-17 at Lakewood Ranch Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
The Vaqueros will then close out the fall with a match play event against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Oct. 29 at Gabe Lozano Golf Course.
The spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
