Cadiz Women’s Golf League

The Cadiz Women’s Golf League members hold the first round of their league championship on Aug. 3.

The top three women in each of the flights were: A flight: Marilyn Kenny, Tracy Amos and Jan Shultz; B flight: Brenda Hartley, Laura Daily and Donna Griffin; and C flight: Linda Tyson, Angie Sapon and Denise Augustine.

The play of the day was “Low Net,” and the hostess was Laura Daily. The top three winners were: Linda Tyson, first; Brenda Hartley, second; and Marilyn Kenny, third. The top three putt winners were Sherry Sapon, Kathy Newburn and Laura Daily. Women who had birdies were Tracy Amos, Marilyn Kenny, Sherry Sapon, Carol Lepic, Diane Berardinelli and Brenda Hartley.

Tracy Amos, Sherry Sapon, Carol Lepic, Diane Berardinelli, Brenda Hartley, Kim Ochsenbine and Sandy Polen had chip-ins.

Next week will be the final round of the league championship. The Play of the Day for the final round of the league championship was to be “low net” with Roberta Cireddu and Tracy Amos as hostesses.

Highland Springs Ladies League

On Aug. 8, the women of the Highland Springs Ladies League played the back nine. The evening’s winners were Ruth Lamantia, Vickie Grant and Denise Augustine. Erin Ankrun took the prize on hole No. 17 for closest to the pin on the second shot.

Ruth Lamantia had the lowest putts for the round.

On Monday, the women will play the front nine and, the play of the day will be “Three Blind Mice.” Tee-off is at 5 pm Call the club house by 3:30 pm to sign up and arrive by 4:45 pm

Spring Hills Ladies Golf League

Spring Hills Ladies Golf League’s play of the day on July 28 was “Just Par 4’s” on the back nine.

Game winner was Linda Caputo.

Other winners were:

Long drive: A flight, Yuko Atwell; B flight: Mary DiMichele; and C flight, Arlene Owens.

Closest to the pin: A flight, Yuko Atwell, and B flight, Linda Caputo.

Lowest putts: Mary DiMichele.

Chip-in: Vickie Grant

Dru Fleishour won the 50/50 drawing.

Town and Country

Town and Country Golf played the first round of the club championship on Aug. 4.

The day’s winners were: A flight, Laura Froehlich; B flight, Pat Zorne; and C flight, Debbie Hendricks. Net winners were Vicki Brozka, Norma Henson and Dora Elizaga. Low putts were recorded by Brozka.

Other winners were:

Long drive hole No. 2: A flight, Signa Findlay; B flight, Zorne; and C flight, Rose Kaczmarek.

Long drive hole No. 5: B flight, Lattee Chinakarn, and C flight, Hendricks.

Closest to the pin hole No. 4, C flight, Elizaga.

Town and Country Golf played the second round of the club championship on Aug. 11. Winners were: A flight, Laura Froehlich; B flight, Norma Henson and Lattee Chinakarn; and C flight, Debbie Hendricks. Net winners were: A flight, Cathy Jackson; B flight, Pat Zorne; and C flight, Toni Jean Dondzila. Low putts was Froehlich. Birdies were recorded by Hendricks, hole No. 8, and Froehlich, hole No. 6.

Long drive hole No. 1: A flight, Vicki Brozka; B flight, Zorne; and C flight, Rose Kaczmarek.

Long drive hole No. 9: A flight, Signa Findlay; B flight, Zorne; and C flight, Elizaga.
