Cadiz Women’s Golf League
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League holds the final round of its league championship on Aug. 10.
The A flight champion was Tracy Amos with runner-up Marilyn Kenny; B flight champion was Brenda Hartley with runner-up Laura Daily; and C flight champion was Linda Tyson with runner-up Denise Augustine.
The play of the day was low net, and the hostesses were Roberta Cireddu and Tracy Amos. The winners were: First place, Billie Stanwick; second place, Brenda Hartley; and third place, Donita Rush. Putt winners were Brenda Hartley, 26; Judy Crawshaw, 29; and Kathy Newburn, 29.
Next week’s play of the day is “Three Blind Mice,” and the hostess is Sandi Polen.

The winners from each flight were: A flight, Sherry Sapon; B flight, Brenda Hartley; and C flight, Angie Sapon. The putt winners were Judy Crawshaw, 30; Marilyn Kenny, 31; and Kathy Newburn, 31. Sandi Polen, Angie Sapon and Marsha Porter had chip-ins, while Tracy Amos, Sherry Sapon, Jan Shultz, Joanne Hardman and Marilyn Kenny had birdies.
Next week’s hostesses are Ann Milleson and Tamara Dulaney. The play of the day will be “Woulda, ‘Coulda,’ Shoulda’.”
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League played a rain make-up game on Aug. 9.
Play of the day on the front nine was “Throw Out Two Worst Holes.” Winners were: A flight, Ruth Lamantia; B flight, Brenda McCloskey; and C flight, Mary Alice Meyer.
Other winners were:
Long drive: B flight, Brenda McCloskey; and C flight, Mary Alice Meyer.
Low putts: Brenda McCloskey. Mary Alice Meyer won the 50/50 drawing.

Play of the day on the back nine was “Just Count Par 4’s.” Winners were: A flight, Yuko Atwell; B flight, Linda Caputo; and C flight, Arlene Owens.

Highland Springs Ladies League
The women of the Highland Springs Ladies League played the front nine on Aug. 15.
The play of the day was “Three Blind Mice.” The winners were Yuko Atwell, first place; Ruth Lamantia, second place; and Dottie Virtue, third place.
The long drive on hole No. 6 went to Erin Ankrun. The prize for closest to the pin on hole No. 8 went to Brenda McKloskey. There was a four-way tie for low putts with the prize being claimed by Vickie Grant, Erin Ankrun, Tammy Cox and Yuko Atwell.
