AUSTIN, Texas — Coming off their fourth Big 12 Championship in the last five seasons, the Longhorns have released their schedule for the 2022-23 season.
Texas will compete in four fall tournaments and five spring tournaments before the postseason. The Big 12 Championship will be April 21-23 at the Dallas Athletic Club. The NCAA Championship is scheduled for May 19-24 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
“We try to play a schedule against the best teams in the country as often as we can,” Texas head coach Ryan Murphy said. “We will go to the east coast, west coast and several places in between to get that level of competition.
The fall slate will start with the Annika Intercollegiate hosted by Minnesota from September 12-14 at the Royal Golf Club in Minneapolis, Minn. The eighth edition of the tournament is put on by The Annika Foundation, golf Hall-of-Famer Annika Sorenstam’s charitable organization. In addition to No. 15 Texas, the field includes No. 2 Oregon, No. 3 South Carolina, No. 4 Wake Forest and No. 7 Arizona State.
The following weekend will see the team travel to Bryan, Texas for the Memorial hosted by Texas A&M at Traditions Golf Club. The Longhorns will travel to the midwest Oct. 3-4 for the Windy City Classic hosted by Northwestern at the Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park, Ill. The fall schedule will conclude Oct. 21-23 at the Stanford Intercollegiate at the Stanford Golf Club.
The Longhorns will open the spring portion of the schedule Feb. 12-14 at the Northrup Grumman Regional in Palos Verdes, Calif., hosted by Ohio State.
Next up Texas will travel to Hilton Head, SC for the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate hosted by South Carolina. The Longhorn will play two tournaments hosted by Arizona State with the Sun Devil Match Play Mar. 13-14 and the Ping ASU Invitational Mar. 24-26.
The final tune-up before the postseason will be the Big 12 Match Play in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Kierland Golf Club.
The Longhorn will look to defend their title at the Big 12 Championship April 21-23 at the Dallas Athletic Club. The NCAA Regional Championship will be May 8-10 with the NCAA Championship following May 19-24 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
