Good morning, Tiger fans. We are one day closer to reaching the end of a busy work week, which means that we are one week closer to the kickoff of the College Football season.
In today’s edition of the Auburn Morning Rush, baseball will begin its run towards another College World Series as the fall schedule has been released. Auburn fans will have the chance to watch Auburn play two games at Plainsman Park this October.
Auburn Soccer is heavily discussed as well. The Tigers open the season Thursday night at home against Old Dominion, a team that won their conference championship last season. Prior to the beginning of the season, five players were also named to the SEC Preseason watchlist.
Finally, Auburn Women’s Basketball has released their schedule for the 2022-23 season. The Tigers are set to play the most games inside their home arena in over 20 years.

Auburn Baseball to play two tough opponents this fall

The quest for another College World Series appearance begins in October, as Auburn Baseball begins its fall season. As part of fall training, the Tigers will play two exhibition games at Plainsman Park.
Auburn will face their first opponent the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, who come to town on Saturday, October 15. Louisiana Tech provides an excellent challenge for Auburn, as they are coming off of a Conference USA championship and an appearance in the Austin Regional in 2022.
The final game will be against rival Alabama, which will be played on Friday, October 28. The Crimson Tide made a deep run in the 2022 SEC Tournament but failed to reach the NCAA postseason. Auburn went 2-0 against the Tide last season.
Five members of Auburn Soccer named to SEC Preseason watchlist

Ahead of the 2022 season, five Auburn Soccer players have earned their way onto the SEC Preseason watch list, the league announced Wednesday.
ME Craven, Sydney Richards, Marissa Arias, Anna Haddock and Maddie Prohaska were named to the list. For Haddock and Prohaska, it is the second time that they have made the list.
Auburn Soccer was also recently picked fourth in the SEC’s preseason poll.
Soccer opens the 2022 season on Thursday

The Auburn Tigers kick off their 2022 campaign Thursday night against Old Dominion at the Auburn Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 6:30 pm CT.
Auburn went 1-1 in their exhibition schedule. On August 8 (and 9th), the Tigers defeated Georgia Southern 4-1 by outshooting the Eagles 20-4.
Auburn lost an exhibition game last Saturday to Memphis 2-0.
Old Dominion is coming off a successful season, where they finished with a 13-5-1 record in 2021, winning the Conference-USA championship.
Women’s Basketball releases 2022-23 schedule

Auburn Women’s Basketball will begin its second season under head coach Johnnie Harris with an exhibition game on Nov. 3 against Tuskegee.
Following the preseason exhibition, Auburn will then open the season with three straight home games, beginning Nov. 10 at home against South Alabama. In that stretch, Auburn will welcome former head coach Nell Fortner back to the Plains, as Georgia Tech visits Auburn on Nov. 16.
Auburn will play a total of 17 regular-season home games, which includes eight SEC games.
