Apex Legends: Hunted release date: Here’s when Vantage joins the battle
Apex Legends on console and PC is set to launch its newest season, Hunted, on August 9. With it will come a brand new sniper/recon Legend, Vantage.
While Respawn hasn’t officially shared her kit, leaked details about her abilities sound promising. And her backstory is pretty awesome too.
When Vantage arrives, she’ll only be available in the console and PC versions of Apex Legends. But will the new champion come to Apex Legends Mobile?
Will Vantage come to Apex Legends Mobile?
Apex Legends Mobile operates independently of Apex Legends on console and PC. Although it takes inspiration from the original game and even shares some of the characters, it has its own distinct features, battle pass, and modes. It also has its own exclusive champions in Fade and the recently introduced Rhapsody.
As of this writing, there are currently 12 playable legends in Apex Legends Mobile. But aside from the two mobile exclusive characters, the other 10 are mostly from the early days of the original Apex Legends. Loba is the most recent character from the PC and console version and she arrived back in 2020.
So while it’s possible that newer PC and console characters could make their way into Apex Legends Mobile, it seems there’s a bigger emphasis on introducing mobile-exclusive characters. This is likely due to it being easier to come up with mobile-specific abilities than to adjust already existing character abilities so that they feel natural on mobile.
Respawn hasn’t officially announced plans to bring Vantage to Apex Legends Mobile and probably won’t for quite some time. Considering she still isn’t in the PC/console version until August 9, we’ll probably have to wait quite a while before she makes her way to the mobile game — if she ever does. I don’t think it’s completely out of the realm of possibility, but right now nothing official has been announced.
