Will the Brooklyn Nets even trade mercurial star Kevin Durant before the season starts?

The ongoing saga of the Brooklyn Nets and their disgruntled star forward Kevin Durant continues to drag on with no evident plausible trade partner to take on the mercurial veteran, leading many to wonder if there will be any deal for Durant at all to speak of, at at least before the 2023 NBA trade deadline.

The massive haul the Nets are asking for makes a trade for KD prohibitive for all but a few teams such as the Boston Celtics, and such teams are already in a good place in terms of contention and chemistry, so the motivation to mess with that seems low at best after his most recent antics of demanding the sacking of his coach and GM.

Based on what we have seen so far this offseason, will the Nets even trade Durant?

It’s more than a fair question at this point, with some hints out there that Brooklyn may not actually want to despite all the drama. The host of the CLNS Media “Winning Plays” podcast Brian Robb is joined by MassLive’s Souichi Terada to talk about this and several other timely topics.

Watch the clip embedded above to hear their take on how the KD saga might end.
