One of the biggest contributors to the Boston Celtics coming up losers in the 2022 NBA Finals series they dropped 6-2 against the Golden State Warriors was the lack of rest built into the second half of their 2021-22 campaign after a slow start convinced head coach Ime Udoka to lean on his best players hard in the second half of the season.
The Celtics have since added proven veteran depth to their bench in anticipation of making the Finals again and being ready with fresher legs, but part of that equation will also be the schedule they play, just released last Wednesday by the league.
