NBA 2K23 is around the corner and a lot of information about the game has surfaced, but when will 2K publish the official player ratings?
Following the release of the pre-order bundles for NBA 2K23, gamers are looking for player ratings. There are many predictions on the internet regarding who would rank among the top during the basketball game debuts in September.
Any early NBA 2K23 Player Ratings being published online are predictions, not 2K’s own.
With that said, and as we wait in anticipation to find out when the ratings will be released so that players can see who the top rankers are and who to play, let’s find out below what we know so far.

When are the NBA 2K23 official player ratings coming out?
At the time of writing this piece, no official date has been confirmed. We can however estimate when the official ratings will be out, let’s use prior information to get an estimate.
So, there may be a pattern here:
- NBA 2K20 – July 15th
- NBA 2K21 – August 19th
- NBA 2K22 – August 18th
If 2K follows the same schedule, then that could mean that they are coming out pretty soon. Analyzing these dates suggest that the ratings drop on the third Wednesday of the month, which could mean that we could see the player ratings on Wednesday 17th August 2022.
This implies that they will take part in a teaser campaign that will gradually raise anticipation for when the big announcement is revealed and we learn who the best players are for NBA 2K23.
Now that we have an estimate, especially from someone at 2K, we understand that 2K will likely provide ratings that differ from those now being published online, most of the titles online have “predicted” in them. Also, predicting won’t do any harm, right?
While we’re still on predictions or wondering who’ll make it to the top, it goes without question that stars like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpoand Nikola Jokic could be part of the top-rated. Remember that’s just our prediction, seeing that they had good ratings in 2K22, and Michael Jordan is this year’s cover athlete.
Either way, we look forward to seeing what the ratings are, be sure to check back on this page for a confirmed date for the official player ratings, as well as the ratings covered here on GiveMeSport.
