When will the Denver Broncos pick in the draft?

  • by

Adding insult to injury for the Denver Broncos this season is the fact that the team’s dismal record will not net them a high pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

The Broncos sent their first-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks as part of the trade for quarterback Russell Wilson earlier this offseason. As things stand now, the pick is currently on pace to be No. 5 overall in the 2023 NFL draft.

Denver will have a first-round pick, though, after trading outside linebacker Bradley Chubb to the Miami Dolphins. In exchange for Chubb, the Broncos acquired the San Francisco 49ers’ first-round pick via the Dolphins.

After 11 weeks of play, the 49ers’ pick is currently on pace to be 20th overall in the 2023 NFL draft. Here’s a look at the current order of picks for next year’s draft, courtesy of Tankathon.com:

1. Houston Texans (1-8-1)
2. Carolina Panthers (3-8)
3. Chicago Bears (3-8)
4. Las Vegas Raiders (3-7)
5. Seattle Seahawks (via Broncos3-7)
6. Detroit Lions (via Rams, 3-7)
7. Houston Texans (via Browns, 3-7)
8. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-7)
9. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7)
10. Philadelphia Eagles (via Saints, 4-7)

20. Denver Broncos (via 49ers, 6-4)

The 2023 NFL draft will be held in Kansas City from April 27-29.
