Southern Miss baseball pitcher Tanner Hall has paved the way for the program and its success as he takes the mound for the Golden Eagles against Tennessee today in NCAA super regional Game 2 needing a win to go to the College World Series.

Tanner Hall is in the top 10 in the nation for ERA
There are hundreds of arms in NCAA baseball, but Hall has locked down the No. 9 ranking in ERA at 2.08.
He has pitched 108 innings, allowing 25 earned runs this season.
Others in the top 10 list include LSU’s Paul Skenes and Wake Forrest’s Rhett Lowder – names that ring a bell when looking at top 2023 MLB Draft prospects.
Along with being a dominant arm in the USM rotation, he is also part of the No. 32 pitching staff in NCAA baseball.
When will Tanner Hall be picked in 2023 MLB Draft?
Coming in at No. 92 in MLB.com’s rankings, Hall is eligible for the 2023 MLB Draft beginning July 9 as a right-handed pitcher.
Southern Miss baseball generated two draft picks just last year in the third and sixth rounds of the 2022 MLB Draft.
He is commemorated for his high strikeout-to-walk ratio of 119/32 and averaging 13.2 strikeouts every nine innings despite his fastball sitting in the low 90s.
His shining qualities heading into the draft- his command and his changeup.
3. He has played for the USA Collegiate National Team
As if his list of accolades isn’t enough, Hall participated in the 2022 Collegiate National Team where he caught the eyes of many scouts in the first place.
In his time with the team, he pitched four scoreless frames with seven punches while only allowing three hits and two walks against Cuba. With the top-notch performance, USA and Hall recorded a win in their columns.
On the roster beside Hall were household college baseball names like Dylan Crews of LSU, Enrique Bradfield of Vanderbilt and more.
