Wembanyama vs Scoot Henderson: 65 points in the duel of the NBA’s future top prospects

Bbasketball prodigies Scoot Henderson and Victor Wembanyama faced each other in a G League game where they scored a combined 65 points.

Both aged 18, the former plays for G League Ignitewhile the latter is plying his trade for Metropolitans 92.

The two youngsters are the favorites to become the first pick the 2023 NBA Draft.

“Out of all the prospects I’ve heard about in our class, I think he’s my favorite one,” Wembanyama told NBA.com of Henderson.

“I think he’s the most reliable that I’ve seen. He’s really a great player

“If I was never born, I think he would deserve the first spot.”

The game played at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada, was broadcast live on ESPN, with between 120 and 150 NBA scouts in attendance.

Both Henderson and Wembanyama showed their enormous talent and recorded some spectacular statistics.

Henderson‘s G League Ignite beat Wembanyama‘s Metropolitans 122-115. The former registered 28 points, five rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 28 minutes.

Former Burgos and Bilbao Basket player John Jenkins helped Henderson with 21 points, while Baskonia academy product Sidy Cissokowho joined G League Ignite in the summer, managed seven points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.

As for Wembanyamahe had 37 points, four rebounds, one steal and five blocks in 37 minutes.
