The Pittsburgh Penguins are starting to rebound after a tough stretch to start the year. Pittsburgh is going for its third win in a row as they host the Winnipeg Jets Friday night. The Jets will be a tough out though as they’ve won six of their last seven games. This will be the last game of a three-game road trip for Winnipeg. The Jets are coming off a 4-2 win against the Buffalo Sabers on Thursday night, making this turnaround tough for Winnipeg. Tyson Jost tied the game at the beginning of the third period but shortly after Kyle Connor scored the go-ahead goal which ended up being the game-winner. Karson Kuhlman cemented the game with an empty netter.

The Penguins are coming off an exhilarating win beating the Vancouver Canucks 5-4. The most intriguing part for Pittsburgh was that they started out in a huge 3-0 hole. The Penguins came roaring back scoring five straight goals, led by Evgeni Malkin who scored two goals and added two assists. Pittsburgh shut out Winnipeg in the last matchup between these two. Don’t expect that to happen again tonight.
