In Metropolitan Division action on Friday night, the New York Islanders (16-11-0) visit one of their regional rivals, the red-hot New Jersey Devils (21-4-1). This will be the second of three meetings between these two teams this season. They first played back on Oct. 20, a game the Devils won 4-1. Center Nico Hischier led New Jersey in that game with three points, putting up a goal and two assists. Wings Jesper Bratt and Ondrej Palat also had multi-point games for New Jersey that night. The defense also limited the Islanders’ impact on that third of the ice, resulting in goalie Mackenzie Blackwood only having to face 17 shots.
