Flames center Elias Lindholm leads the team with 23 assists and has recorded a point in three consecutive games. The former first-round pick by Carolina in the 2013 NHL Draft played in his 700thth National Hockey League game on Saturday against Vancouver. Lindholm needs four points for 300 in his five years with Calgary and is on pace for a career-high in assists set during the 2018-19 season.
Islanders center Mathew Barzal leads the team with 30 assists and has scored a goal in five straight games.
New York won the first meeting between these teams back in November 4-3 on Noah Dobson’s goal 4:02 into overtime. Calgary has won six of the last eight in this series and has not lost at home to New York since March of 2018.
