On Monday night, the Nashville Predators (18-14-6) take their Northeast road trip to Canada, to begin a stretch of three games in a row north of the border. Their first opponent will be the Ottawa Senators (18-18-3) on Monday night. The Predators come into this one rolling. They’ve won three in a row, and have points in each of their last five games while averaging 4.8 goals per game during that stretch. The streak nearly did come to an end in the Preds’ last outing though, as it took a late third-period goal from Ryan McDonagh to lift Nashville to a 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals.

Ottawa had won two in a row and four of five heading into their Saturday matchup with the Seattle Kraken. That game ended in an 8-4 defeat. The Senators will now be looking to end their current four-game homestand on a high note before heading out west.
In the first meeting between these two teams this year, the Senators got the best of the Predators. Back on Dec. 10, the Sens got two goals in the third period and went 2-for-6 on the power play to earn a 3-2 win in Nashville.
