After one round at the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, there is a two-way tie at the top of the leaderboard. The first round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship wrapped up with Smotherman and Endycott tied for the lead:
Smotherman came out on fire and sustained his play all day. He had six birdies on the front nine with zero bogeys, then finished his round with three more birdies on the final four holes. He is tied with Endycott who had a more up-and-down day, with more highlight holes. Endycott finished the round with seven birdies, two eagles and two bogeys.
Just behind those two are five golfers tied at eight under par, one stroke back.
