The Minnesota Wild and Anaheim Ducks kick off a busy slate in the NHL on Saturday on a day when most of the league is facing off. The Ducks are looking to shake things up as they have lost four in a row and they sit at the bottom of the Western Conference. It’s going to be a tough challenge on the road though against a formidable opponent in the Wild. Minnesota has won four of its last five as they climb the Central standings. It helps that the Wild are in the midst of a seven-game homestand with the last one coming today against the Ducks before they go on a four-game road trip. Minnesota beat Edmonton in their last game 5-3 on Thursday.

Kirill Kaprizov led the charge for the Wild adding three points to the ledger with a goal and two assists. He’s now extended his points streak accumulating in 10 straight games for a career-high.
Anaheim is coming off a blowout loss to the Central-leading Dallas Stars. It wasn’t really close from the get-go as the Stars won 5-0. Jake Oettinger secured the shutout stopping 31 shots and Jason Robertson made sure to supply all of the goals Dallas would need netting a hat trick. The two games before that, Anaheim only lost by one. Look for the Ducks to make this a much closer affair.
