Washington Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper is in Las Vegas, Nevada participating in the NHL Player North American Media Tour, after joining his new team at MedStar Capitals Iceplex for the first time earlier this week.

During his time in Vegas, Kuemper is conducting interviews, and shooting promotional and in-game content for ESPN, the league’s television partner in the United States.

Kuemper, who was the Caps’ marquee offseason addition on a five-year contract in free agency, will enter the 2022-23 season as the team’s de facto number one goaltender, providing stability and consistency in a position that has been a weakness in the past. two seasons. The 32-year-old won the Stanley Cup earlier this year as a member of the Colorado Avalanche.
