Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer, Call of Duty Warzone 2, and Warzone Mobile will all be unveiled during a live stream set for September 2022.
The official Call of Duty account on Twitter recently shared a tweet, revealing a live stream from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 developers for September 15, 2022. According to an official blog post, Infinity Ward aims to fully reveal the Multiplayer section of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 during this stream, with a number of well-known streamers playing it live during the announcement.
Moreover, the developer plans to reveal the future of Call of Duty Warzone, which is the next big step in the highly popular free-to-play Battle Royale series, referred to as Warzone 2 by most insiders and leakers. Additionally, you can expect a full announcement of Project Aurora as well, which is the mobile version of Warzone.
Last but not least, Infinity Ward also teased a surprising announcement during the live stream but did not mention what it could be about. Regarding the recent leaks we have seen around the DMZ game mode in Modern Warfare 2, this surprising revelation could actually be about this mysterious game mode, which is assumed to be an Escape From Tarkov-style extraction-based game mode.
Soon after the live stream ends, the Early Access Beta weekends will start for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, with PlayStation players getting access to the game earlier than others on September 16 and September 17. This will only be available for those who have pre -ordered the game on PlayStation. A free Open Beta will be available from September 18 until September 20 for all PlayStation gamers.
The next Early Access Beta will be available between September 23 and September 24 across all platforms with cross-play enabled. Following this, a free Open Beta period for all platforms will go live on September 24 for two days. So, if you haven’t pre-ordered the game and you don’t have a PS4/PS5, your only chance to play Modern Warfare 2 for free before launch will be from September 24 to September 26.
During the Beta period, players will receive access to a number of Multiplayer modes including the traditional 6v6 battles. Thus far, Grand Prix is the only map confirmed for Beta access, with more to be revealed during the upcoming live stream.
