SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Tech Trailblazers men’s basketball team wrapped up their trip to North Dakota with a 66-60 win over Cal State Fullerton.
After Cal State Fullerton outscored Utah Tech 33-29 in the first half, the Trailblazers outscored CSF 37-27 in the second half.
Five Utah Tech players scored in double figures, led by Tanner Christensen with 13 points and 10 rebounds on 6-of-7 shooting from the field. Isaiah Pope dropped 12 points and three rebounds, while shooting 4-of-8 from the floor and 2-for-4 from the three-point line. In just 18 minutes, Jacob Nickolds had 11 points and three rebounds on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the field. Dancell Letter chipped in 11 points off the bench to go with five rebounds. Cameron Gooden added 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting.

As a team, Utah Tech shot 52% from the field, 42% from the three-point line, and 57% at the free-throw line. They were efficient in the second half, making 62% from the floor.
The Trailblazers won the rebound battle, 30-20 and bench points, 14-3.
Cal State Fullerton was led by Latrell Wrightsell Jr. with 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field. Vincent Lee had 14 points and five rebounds on 7-of-9 shooting. Max Jones added 10 points and three rebounds.
The Titans shot 47% from the field, 35% from the three-point line and just four free throw attempts, making three of them.
Utah Tech improved their record to 3-4 on the season with wins over CSUN, Idaho, and Cal State Fullerton. Their losses came against Nevada, Washington, Arizona, and North Dakota. The Trailblazers will return to the state of Utah to face two in-state foes. They will be at Utah State on Thursday, December 1 at 7 pm MT. Then they will travel to Weber State on Saturday, December 3 at 7 pm MT.
Utah Tech will be back at home for the first time since November 12 when they host Chapman University on Friday, December 9 at 7 pm MT.
