Ubisoft Is Making Three Mobile Games for Netflix

  • by

Ubisoft has announced that it’s partnered with Netflix to develop a trio of mobile games.

The company says it’s working on “a Valiant Hearts sequel, a new roguelite-inspired Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, and an original Assassin’s Creed game” as part of this partnership and confirms that Netflix subscribers will be able to play all three games at no additional cost.

Ubisoft says it’s also partnered up with Netflix to produce a live-action adaptation set in the Assassin’s Creed universe. (The company is finally making an Assassin’s Creed game with ninjas, too, but that’s separate from its partnership with the video streaming platform.)

Netflix has partnered with mobile developers—and bought three game studios—as part of its push into mobile gaming. But with the exception of Riot Games, none of those companies are as big as Ubisoft, and this partnership shows Netflix’s ongoing commitment to the gaming market.

Ubisoft also says it plans to launch a beta of Rainbow Six Mobile on Google Play on Sept. 12; that it will release the now-online Just Dance 2023 Edition on Nov. 12; and that it has new expansions planned for Mario + Rabbids, Brawlhalla, and The Division in the next few months.
