Hadapsar, 28th November 2022: ‘India Tour’ of the famous musician DJ Snake has been started by Sunburn, which organizes parties and events across the country. DJ Snake’s concert was organized in Pune on Friday (November 25) evening. Two thieves entered after buying a ticket costing more than Rs 10.00 and stole 20 expensive mobile phones from the audience. Both were caught red-handed while stealing mobile phones. They have been arrested by Hadapsar police.
The arrested accused have been identified as Abu Bakar Mohammad Sheikh (43), a resident of Santacruz, Mumbai, and Yusuf Abdul Rehman (23), a resident of Bhendi Bazar, Mumbai. In this case, Apoorv Nitin Bhalerao (19), a resident of Sun City, Sinhagad Road, has filed a complaint in this regard.
According to investigating officer and assistant police inspector Chetan Thorbole, the ‘Sunburn Arena DJ Snake’ show was organized at the Green House in Prism Park, Amanora Park. Thieves stole many people’s mobile phones while the program was going on.
Bhalerao was dancing to music at the event with his friend around 9.00 pm. At that time, the accused went near them and started dancing. They started to push while taking advantage of the crowd. The thief then put his hand in Apoorv’s pant-pocket and took out his mobile phone. While the accused was running away, Apoorv realized his mobile phone had been stolen. He informed his friends about this. All of them together caught these two red-handed there.
The police seized six mobile phones. The two stole seven iPhones, six One Plus, three Samsung, Real Me, and Oppo models each, accounting for a total of 20 mobile phones worth Rs 4.40 lakh. Assistant Police Inspector Chetan Thorbole said they may have more accomplices and further investigation is underway.
