Top upcoming smartphones in September 2022

  • by

Few new smartphones were launched in August, making it a relatively calm month for the smartphone industry. However, this is about to change. The largest number of launches occur in September each year, shortly before the festive season. With launches scheduled from Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung, and more this year, consumers will have a wide range of options, from entry-level models to high-end models. Here is a list of smartphones that are expected to be on sale in global markets, including India, in the coming month.

Upcoming smartphone launches in September 2022

iPhone 14 Pro Max

On September 7th, much like clockwork, Apple will release its newest iPhone 14 series in global markets. This series is expected to contain four variants, including the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in addition to the two standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max versions. Apart from a few details, such as the new 48MP camera system on the Pro model, the A16 Bionic chip, and the new pill-shaped cutout on the Pro models for the selfie camera/sensor suite, not much is known about the iPhone 14 range this time.

Apple is only likely to deploy this new CPU in their Pro series in order to control costs; the regular model will still be run by the A15 Bionic. Up next are iOS 16 and a new vapor chamber cooling mechanism, as well as Always-On displays. This is unprecedented for Apple, but the company intends to maintain the same cost as the iPhone 13 series.

Expected price: Around Rs 1.4 lakh
