Tom Brady is STILL undecided on his NFL future as the 45-year-old claims if he ‘knew what to f***ing do, he would’ve already f***ing done it’ in a testy outburst when pressed on his football career
Tom Brady got testy when pressed on his NFL future following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ early postseason exit to the Dallas Cowboys and the 45-year-old quarterback doesn’t seem to be revealing his cards anytime soon after providing a knee jerk response to a question regarding his status on Monday.
Speaking on the latest episode of his ‘Lets Go!’ podcast with ex-Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and sportscaster Jim Gray on Monday, Brady was asked: ‘Do you have any timetable as to what you want to do regarding your football career?’
‘Jim, if I knew what I was going to f***ing do, I would’ve already f***ing done it. Ok?,’ Brady answered emphatically. ‘I’m taking it one day at a time.’
Tom Brady sounded frustrated when answering the latest question about his future on Monday
The 45-year-old can either choose to retire, sign with another NFL team or re-sign with the Bucs
Stunned by the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s direct response, Gray replied: ‘I feel you’re antagonized by the question,’ before laughing nervously.
‘You’re scratching…,’ Brady then said before Gray quipped: ‘It’s only the question that everybody wants to hear!’
‘You’re scratchy…,’ the three-time NFL MVP (2007, 2010, 2017) said again before restoring his cool. ‘I appreciate you asking. Thank you.’
For now, it seems that Brady is more focused on fatherhood than resolving his uncertain future
Brady then added that since Tampa Bay’s season came to a close with a 31-14 loss to Dallas in an NFC Wild Card Game on January 16, he has allocated more of his free time to hanging out with his children, playing catch up on things he couldn’t have done while still having something to play for.

However, the football player with the most career quarterback wins in NFL history will inevitably have to decide between retiring, testing free agency, as his two-year contract with the Bucs is now up, or resigning with the Florida-based NFL franchise.
He has been linked with a move to the low-seeded Las Vegas Raiders, a return to New England with legendary NFL coach Bill Bellichick – the man who helped mold Brady into a serial winner – and a move to the New York Jets – a team he constantly defeated (Brady is 30-7 versus the Jets in his career) during his playing days on the East Coast.
For now, though, it seems like Brady will let others do the talking about his future while he ponders his next move. Last week, Bills safety Jordan Poyer urged the NFL legend to walk away from the game and enjoy his newly single life with his family.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen also weighed into the matter and said Brady ‘seemed too sentimental’ after his 13th playoff defeat, hinting his opinion that the five-time Super Bowl MVP (XXXVI, XXXVIII, XLIX, LI, LV) will finally retire after experiencing a first losing season.
Brady has experienced being on a losing team (8-10) for the first time in his 23-year NFL career.
The Bucs ended up with an overall 8-10 record after their latest loss to the Cowboys.
Brady’s teammates in Tampa Bay also believe that the 15-time Pro Bowler (2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009-2018, 2021) will not be returning come Fall 2023 after he thanked the organization for all that it’s done for him since he moved to Florida in 2020.
‘I just want to say thank you, guys, for everything,’ Brady last told reporters. I really appreciate all your efforts. I know it’s hard for you guys, too. It’s hard for us players to make it through. You guys have got a tough job. I appreciate all that you guys do to cover us.’
‘I love this organization. It’s a great place to be. I thank everyone for welcoming me. All you regulars [in the media], I’m just very grateful for the respect. And I hope I gave the same thing back to you guys.’
Initially, Brady decided to hang up his cleats and retire in February 2022 after the Bucs’ playoff exit to the LA Rams, who ended up winning Super Bowl LVI.
But he came back on his decision and returned to sign a one-year deal with Tampa Bay 40 days later.
