Tietoevry Banking named among 100 most innovative tech companies

In late September, the ESGFinTech100 list was announced and Tietoevry Banking made it on the list, from a study of around 500 companies. The list gathers the top 100 global financial tech companies offering tech solutions to financial institutions facing challenges when adopting sustainability goals.

The pressure to adopt sustainability goals has recently increased among financial institutions, meaning there are many challenges but also opportunities. This has resulted in a substantial growing demand for technical solutions in areas like climate risk, ESG assessment, sustainability, social responsibility as well as governance. Investment in the sector reached $1.17bn in 2021, growing at a CAGR of 173% over the previous two years.

The data and research firm FinTech Global conducted a study of over 500 ESG tech companies when choosing the top 100 for the list. The ones who made the final list were recognized for their innovative use of technology to solve a significant industry problem, or their impact on ESG imperatives and/or sustainability enchantments generated for clients.

“Obviously, making the top 100 on the ESGFinTech100 is a huge recognition and stamp of approval of the work that we’re doing at TietoevryBanking. We’re very honored but also proud that our solutions have proven to be so useful in aiding the important climate transition in the financial sector,” says Sameer Datye, Head of Insurance and Wealth Solutions at Tietoevry Banking.

“Banks that adopt ESG across their business model will be better positioned to engage and retain clients over the coming years. This can turn into a competitive advantage – and a source of new revenue streams. The ESGFinTech100 list helps senior management filter through all the solution providers in the market by highlighting the most innovative ESG tech companies in areas such as ESG Assessment & Reporting, Regulatory Change Management, ESG Intelligence & Data Analysis, Supply Chain Screening and Banking & Investment products ”, says Richard Sachar, Global Director at FinTech.
