Thurston golfer Olivia Grandberry is The Register-Guard’s Athlete of the Week.

Grandberry won the newspaper’s poll for top area athletes, which is voted on by readers.

The junior carded a 17-over par 161 to finish tied for fourth as an individual at the OSAA Class 5A state championship.

The sophomore golfer carded a seven-over par 151 to become the individual champion at the OSAA Class 5A state championship for the second year in a row.

Breanna Raven, Thurston

The senior qualified for the state meet in the girls long jump with a personal best of 19 feet, 6 inches at the 5A Midwestern League district meet.

Owen Davis-Piger, South Eugene

The junior golfer carded a three-over par 147 to finish tied for third as an individual at the OSAA Class 6A state championship.
