Thunder Names Diversity, Technology VP’s

Stamper is the new VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Lane promoted to VP Technology

OKLAHOMA CITY, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 – The Oklahoma City Thunder has named Natasha Stamper as its new vice president of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

Stamper received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management from Texas A&M University, and her certificate of Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University. She comes to the Thunder after serving as the DEI consultant at Dallas-based Kanarys Inc. where she worked with clients to create long-term systemic change around DEI challenges. Her expertise also includes leading multicultural marketing efforts, improving supplier diversity, launching employee resource groups and DEI training. Stamper was also vice president of Sales and Marketing for the former Continental Basketball Association championship franchise the Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry.

In her role with the Thunder, Stamper is responsible for leading and communicating the Thunder’s DEI efforts internally and externally including employee training and dialogue, supplier diversity and serving as a resource for corporate and community partners.

The team also announced that Tyler Lane has been named vice president of Technology. Lane joined the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2009 and leads IT, broadcast and arena technology for the team as well as overseeing capital and construction projects. His responsibilities range from in-game scoring and statistical technology to IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Lane’s career in technology began in the Navy, where he served as an Aviation Electronics Technician and maintained airborne radar on F/A 18 Hornets. Upon returning to Oklahoma, he held technology leadership positions in the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department, College of Engineering, and IT department.

A native of Wolf, OK, Lane earned his undergraduate BS degree in Aviation Management from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.
