You don’t hear a whole lot about Blake Griffin these days.
The player only started in 24 games last season and averaged 17.1 minutes, with just over 6 points per game.
That’s a far cry from what he once did during his previous 12 years in the NBA.

It is important to look back and remember just how talented Griffin is and the power he once had on the court.
Throughout his career, he has been part of some dominant and exciting plays, specifically down in the paint.
From dunks to blocks to wild flourishes under the hoop, Griffin used to play basketball that was downright entertaining.
He might not be performing like this anymore but that doesn’t change just how incredible he once was.
The Big Man
Griffin actually missed his first season back in 2009 due to a knee injury.
One year later, he came out in full force with the Los Angeles Clippers, starting in all 82 games and securing 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.
Over the next few years, Griffin and his Lob City crew were one of the most fearsome in the league and Griffin was constantly creating plays that showed up on SportsCenter.
Watching old-school Griffin is definitely a blast but it also shows why he isn’t as capable and healthy as he once was.
When you watch the video above, you see multiple instances of Griffin being knocked down and beaten up by other players.
Defenders didn’t go easy on Griffin and he often hit the floor in pretty hard ways.
All of that adds up and it’s part of why Griffin is now far more limited, slow, and less physically explosive.
Basketball is not an easy game and it takes a toll, especially when you are as amazing as he once was.
