In a shocking move, Apple is likely to skip the October launch event and announce the launch of MacBook Pros, iPads, among others via press releases.
Apple manages to surprise its fans and customers with most of its decisions. This time it has moved a step ahead and actually shocked them! May it be the lively launch events, new products to be launched, or updates in the existing products- everything generally has the power to amaze people. This time, Apple has made a shocking decision regarding the looming MacBook launch. The company is likely to skip the October launch event! The launch of both MacBook and iPad will happen, but it will be revealed through, wait for it, press releases!
Apple was expected to launch M2 and M2 Pro Mac minis, M2 Pro and M2 Max 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and M2 11-inch and 12.9 inch iPad Pros, among others in the month of October via a launch event that should have rivaled those of the iPhones held last month. However, now there seems to be a big change in the plan. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, as these new products are not a major departure for Apple, the company may not consider organizing another highly polished launch event.
“None of these new products is a major departure for Apple. They’ll get some improved specifications and a chip that was already announced at a formal event in June at WWDC 2022. That has me thinking: Does Apple really have enough here to make is it worth pulling together another highly polished launch event?,” Gurman said in his Power On newsletter.
He further added, “It seems unlikely. Apple may ultimately end up feeling differently, but I think the company (as of now) is more likely to release its remaining 2022 products via press releases, updates to its website and briefings with select members of the press—rather than via a major iPhone-style keynote.”
However, Apple has not confirmed anything officially.
Apple had earlier in the month of September organized the Far Out event in which iPhone 14 series, Watch Ultra, Watch Series 8, Watch SE, and AirPods Pro 2 were announced. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the announcements on MacBooks and iPads. It will be worth seeing how the company actually decides to announce the new products.
