There is some talk in the NBA about Carmelo Anthony, Kevin

In the event that the Brooklyn Nets decide to keep Kevin Durant, who asked to be traded in late June, Carmelo Anthony has allegedly surfaced as a potential free-agent target for the team.

Al Harrington, the CEO of a $100 million firm, is the most successful teammate that Carmelo Anthony has ever had.

Melo, a 10-time All-Star, was with the Los Angeles Lakers last season after previously playing for the Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, and New York Knicks.

The Nets have more unanswered questions than any other club before the 2022–23 season begins in October

It all starts with Durant, who, in the event of a trade to a team that is already a title contender, such as the Boston Celtics or Miami Heat, could substantially alter the NBA’s power dynamics.

If he were to leave Brooklyn, it would probably set off a series of circumstances that would eventually result in Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons leaving as well, especially if the front office decided to start a laborious rebuilding process.

But if Durant stays, the Nets’ attention will likely turn to all-out attempts to win the championship.

Given his recent growth as a reliable role player with the Lakers and Blazers, Anthony may fit into their ambitions

After beginning his career as a wing player, it took the 2013 NBA scoring champion some time to adjust to a less offensive role, including unsuccessful stints with the Thunder and Rockets. However, he has now found his comfort level playing as a stretch 4.

In 69 games for Los Angeles last season, the 38-year-old product of New York City averaged 13.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 three-pointers. He made 83% of his free throws and 44.1 percent of his field goals, including 37.5 percent on three-pointers.

The offensive potency of an Irving, Durant, Anthony, Seth Curry, and Joe Harris small-ball group would be incredibly potent, but the defense would be a worry.

All things considered, the Nets hold the key to the rest of the NBA summer, which has essentially come to a standstill since Durant’s request for a trade. Before the last flurry of moves, either that domino needs to fall or he needs to declare his decision to return.

Anthony will be a part of the last round of additions, and regardless of where he ends up, he should be a reliable backup player.
