Good morning! Go for the tie today. Trust me.

While You Were Sleeping

Not like that, Raiders

How do you even evaluate the 1-4 Las Vegas Raiders at this point? A team brimming with talent and a new offensive-minded coach has found new ways to stymie themselves throughout a disastrous five weeks, none worse than what happened in Kansas City late last night.

A fantastic back-and-forth game looked to be tied up with just over four minutes to play after an absolute dime from Derek Carr to Davante Adams. Raiders coach Josh McDaniels tried to be aggressive and go for two instead of tying the game. One goal-line stuff later, he looked bad.

Things got even dumber when the Raiders got the ball back, nearly made it into field-goal range, then decided to call a pass on fourth-and-1 that saw two wide receivers run into each other and Carr heave a prayer throw to no one. Woof.

Chiefs 30, Raiders 29. Ballgame. Four losses by a total of 14 points is just brutal. McDaniels & Co. will have a tough time digging out of that hole. Just tie the game next time. Adams was frustrated enough after the game shove a cameraman on his way to the locker room. (He quickly apologized.)
