During the MLB lockout, the owners did everything they could to make sure they could get exactly what they wanted.

They also tried to make everybody believe that they were the ones struggling for money and that owning a baseball team was not profitable.

However, time and again, those claims have been debunked.

Once again, there is plenty of evidence that would suggest that Major League Baseball is making some pretty good money as of right now.

The Atlanta Braves are a perfect example of this.

They had $500 million in revenue this season.

Last season, they ended up at $570 million after winning the World Series.

MLB Making Solid Money

This is proof enough that MLB is making some pretty good money at the moment.

Winning the World Series gave the Braves an extra $70 million last year.

It is important to recall what St. Louis Cardinals owner Bill DeWitt said about owning a baseball team during the 2020 return to play negotiations.

At the time, MLB was shut down due to COVID-19, and the owners and players were both trying to negotiate the terms of returning to play.

That’s when DeWitt made the infamous comment about how being an MLB owner was not profitable.

This here is proof enough that MLB and its owners are making plenty of money and are still profiting just fine.

The Braves clearly have had plenty of money sitting around over the past two years, which shows that MLB is doing just fine.
