The most boring hole in golf? – GolfWRXers discuss – GolfWRX

Callaway Golf has today unveiled the new Apex Black irons — a forged iron designed with artificial intelligence for maximum ball speeds presented in a sleek Black Plasma PVD Finish.

The clubs feature an AI-designed Flash Face Cup, with the unique AI architecture in each iron designed to create high ball speeds and increased spin robustness across the face.

Callaway has also implemented its Tungsten Energy Core into the irons, with 5x the tungsten of Apex 19, allowing engineers to precisely position the Center of Gravity to promote excellent launch and added forgiveness on off-center shots.

The Apex Black is 100% forged from a 1025 mild carbon steel body, with the brand’s patented urethane microspheres designed to deliver exceptional sound and feel at impact.

The stock shaft for the new Apex Black is a True Temper Elevate MPH 95 Black Shaft, and the grip is Golf Pride Z Grip Soft (Black). Additionally, steel custom options are available at no surcharge, and other graphite options are available as custom offerings.

The new clubs are available at retail from September 30, 2022, and are priced at $215 per club/steel and $229.98 per club/graphite (Stock graphite shaft is the UST Recoil Dart Black 75).
