Featuring some of the best players in women’s hockey, the showcase returns to Montreal for the second time after concluding the 2021-22 Dream Gap Tour in the city.
The tournament presents four region-neutral teams: Team adidas, Team Harvey’s, Team Scotiabankand Team Sonnet. Team Harvey’s took home the honors last April and will look to continue their excellence on the ice.
While the Spring showcase in Montreal didn’t feature any Olympians, fans will get the chance to watch stars like Poulin, Mélodie Daoust, Sarah Nurse, Hilary Knight, Ann-Renée Desbiens and several others this time around.
“We are very excited to be back playing in Verdun, the home of women’s hockey, where growing the game is the focus,” said Desbiens, an Olympic gold medalist and PWHPA goaltender, in the association’s press release.
A total of four games are on the docket, with matchups slated at 1:30 pm and 4:15 pm on Saturday and Sunday. To view the complete schedule, click here.
Season points are at stake, so each group will be looking to rack up wins to position themselves favorably to compete for the championship at the end of the season.
The second leg of the tour will shift to Truro, Nova Scotia, from November 4-6. For more tour dates, visit the association’s website.
The Montreal Canadiens have been strong advocates of women’s hockey over the years. Through the promotion of previous PWHPA events and our partnership with Les Canadiennes of the defunct Canadian Women’s Hockey League, and by providing a platform for authentic discussions about the state of the game, we remain committed to the development and growth of women’s hockey.
