A themed twist on charades, Netflix Heads Up! displays names, phrases, and titles on a phone held to their forehead of one player, while others shout and mime clues. The player with the phone has one minute to guess what the other players are trying to describe.
Released in partnership with Ellen Digital Ventures, the title comes with 28 decks inspired by popular Netflix series like Bridgerton, Stranger Thingsetc Squid Game; social channels GEEKED and Strong Black Lead; and “an array of entertainment categories.”
“Whether you have five p [50] people over, no one will be left out—even if they’re not there,” according to a Netflix announcement, which urged users to share match recordings with friends and family on social media.
Fans can play charades on their Android and iOS devices in up to 15 languages, including French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Thai.
Netflix’s gaming push began last year and has since grown to include at least 10 titles and a handful of studios that Netflix acquired to “help accelerate our ability to provide…members with great games wherever they want to play them.”
