head of the UK’s first orbital rocket launch, the UK Space Agency has told Tech & Science Daily preparations for the mission have gone well.
The Virgin Orbit 747 plane is equipped with the company’s ‘LauncherOne’ rocket, which is due to propel nine satellites into orbit on Monday night.
Ian Annett, Deputy Chief Executive of the UKSA explained the benefits of launching a rocket using a 747 plane, and discussed the potential for further space launches from the UK.
