A tech entrepreneur is set to spend $2 million this year in his quest to reverse the effects of aging and years of “self destructive” behavior on his body.
Bryan Johnson told Today he has “never been happier in my entire life” since starting the science-backed regime to look and feel younger.
The 45-year-old eats more than 30 kilograms of vegetables a month and undergoes 10-20 therapies on his various organs to find ways to reverse the damage time has done to them.

“We continuously experiment, get the data and share it,” he told Today.
“It’s a full-time endeavor.”
Johnson sold his e-commerce software to a tech giant in 2013 and has invested his time and money into stopping and reversing the aging process.
Since beginning the experiment, Johnson’s pace of aging has already slowed by 25 percent and he wants to share it with others so they can do the same.
“The idea was to build a system that would better take care of myself than I could,” he said.
“It included stopping self-destructive behaviors and we started measuring every organ, looking at the liver and the kidney and the heart and the lungs and find out what they need to be in an optimal state, not just ideal, but a younger state. “

The “Blueprint” experiment has not been cheap, but from their findings, Johnson’s team has developed hundreds of “science-backed protocols” and now wants to share with the public.
“I spent millions of years developing this and I want to share all of it for free so others can implement it,” he said.
“It’s surprisingly approachable and affordable – if someone can narrow down the worst self-destructive behaviours, everyone typically knows what things they do, whether it is drinking or eating the wrong kinds of things in the evening – to get to prioritizing sleep and eating more of the right food and less of the wrong foods.”
