Teasing Master Takagi-san Mobile Game to Shut Down

Karakai Jouzu Takagi-san – KyunKyun Recordsa mobile game based on the Teasing Master Takagi-san series, will shut down. The announcement came via the game’s official website and social media feed. The closure is scheduled for March 31, 2023, about 10 months after the game’s debut.

The announcement did not explain the reason for the closure Teasing Master Takagi-sanKyunkyun Records. The management team apologized to fans for the suddenness of the announcement. The premium “Olive” currency, the in-game Kyunkyun Passport, and Ad Skip Tickets will be sold until January 31, 2023, after which no premium purchases will be possible. However, players have until the same date to earn any remaining rewards left on the current Kyunkyun passport. A battle pass-like system, the Kyunkyun passport will become inaccessible after January 2023, including any unearned rewards.

The Kyunkyun Records game is a hybrid of daily life simulator and music game. Players will interact with Takagi and have her sing songs in karaoke style. They’ll also be able to purchase songs for her to sing, as well as clothes and accessories to dress her up in.

As for the shutdown process, the game will be accessible after its closure via a planned offline version. The offline version will allow players to access music they’ve acquired. The team promised further details at a later date. Following the shutdown of Teasing Master Takagi-san Kyunkyun Recordsthe team will accept refund applications for unused Olive currency and Ad Skip tickets.

Based on the manga by Soichiro Yamamoto, Teasing Master Takagi-san is a slice-of-life series featuring Takagi and her classmate Nishikata. Takagi loves to tease Nishikata, while Nishikata tries and fails to get back at her.

Teasing Master Takagi-san Kyunkyun Records is available on Android and iOS in Japan. The manga is published in English by Yen Press and the anime is available for streaming via services like Netflix and Crunchyroll.
