Sleek MSI Stealth 14 Studio and Stealth 16 Studio debut with the latest Core i7/Core i9 CPUs, RTX 40 graphics, and modern looks

Alongside the ultrapowerful and bulky Titan GT77 HX, MSI has also announced the sleek Stealth 14 Studio A13V and Stealth 16 Studio A13V at CES 2023. The notebooks feature slimmer designs than traditional gaming laptops while packing some serious hardware under the hood.

Design-wise, both the Stealth 14 Studio and the Stealth 16 Studio come in a white and blue Magnesium-alloy chassis. However, unlike the Stealth 16 Studio, the Stealth 14 has a two-tone design where the keyboard deck maintains its black color.

On the inside, both the Stealth 14 and the Stealth 16 employ the 13th gen Raptor Lake mobile chips with Nvidia’s next-gen RTX 40 laptop GPUs. For the Stealth 14, users are limited to a Core i7-13700H alongside the choice of an RTX 4070/ RTX 4060/ RT 4050 graphics. The Stealth 16, on the other hand, gets both Core i7 and Core i9 options, but it is limited to the RTX 4070 and the RTX 4060 GPUs.

Additionally, the Stealth 14 and Stealth 16 each have 2 SO-DIMM slots for DRR5-5200 memory. However, the Stealth 14 can only accept up to 32 GB, whereas the Stealth 16 can be equipped with up to 64 GB of memory. Both machines support up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage through two M.2 slots for the Stealth 16 and one slot in the case of the Stealth 14.

Moving on to the screens, the Stealth 14 Studio only has a single display option, a 16:10 14-inch, 240 Hz QHD+ (2560x 1440) panel that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 gamut. The Stealth 16 Studio, on the other hand, can be configured with either a 16:10 16-inch 120 Hz UHD+, a 240 Hz QHD+, or a 165 Hz FHD+ display.

Due to its bigger size, the Stealth 16 Studio packs more ports than the Stealth 14 Studio. Aside from the ethernet port and a microSD card slot which are only present on the Stealth 16, both notebooks feature a Thunderbolt 4 port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, a single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one HDMI 2.1 out, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Finally, the Stealth 14 and Stealth 16 both have 72 Wh and 99.99 Wh batteries respectively.

While the exact launch date remains unclear, MSI mentions that the laptops will make their way to the market in late February. The Core i7/RTX 4060 SKU of Stealth 14 Studio that is headed to BestBuy will retail for US$1,599. Similarly, the Core i7/RTX4070 configuration of the Stealth 16 Studio, also on BestBuy, will have an asking price of US$1,999.
