Sixers legend Allen Iverson’s crossover ranked 2nd best signature move

  • by

Every NBA legend has a signature killer move. That move they go to in order to throw off defenders and they can’t recover and make a defensive play. Some have the fadeaway jumper, some have the Euro step, and some have the killer crossover.

Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson had one of the best crossovers in the history of the game. The Answer has one of the best highlights in crossover history when he shook Michael Jordan out of his sneakers in order to free himself up for an open jumper. The move is shown on highlight tapes to this day.

Bleacher Report put together a ranking of the best signature moves in NBA history and Iverson’s crossover comes in ranked 2nd on the list. Right ahead of Tim Hardaway Sr.’s crossover:

Iverson may have borrowed from or been influenced by Hardaway for his crossover, complete with the hesitation (or carry, if you’re so inclined), but that doesn’t make it any less filthy.

On the contrary, few players in the history of the game handled the ball with as much style as Iverson. That and his unrelenting grit are what made him one of the most influential players of all time.

Iverson is one of the greatest players to ever play the game and the Sixers benefited greatly from having him on the floor. He lifted the franchise on his bony shoulders in order to get them to success and he is one of the most respected players in the history of the NBA.
