Should Celtics’ Jaylen Brown be taking his name being in trade talks for Kevin Durant as a compliment?

Should star Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown be taking hearing his name in trade rumors that would see the Celtics swap the Boston forward for veteran Brooklyn Nets star swingman Kevin Durant as a compliment? Or is it more likely that a player on the rise who was often the Celtics’ best player in the 2022 NBA Finals might see that as a slight?

We can say what we believe to be true with the best logic in the world behind it, but it ultimately needs to resonate with the person in question — in this case, Jaylen Brown — to have the sort of impact some of us believe being mentioned. in the same breath as Durant, James, Harden, Damian Lillard, and Anthony Davis.

But on the flip side, that is a lot of names that have been tied to trade talks over the years — could it end up backfiring on Boston?

The host of the “Locked On Celtics” podcast John Karalis makes his case why the Georgia native ought to take such talk as a compliment.

Watch the clip embedded above to see why the Locked On host thinks that is the case.
