Michael Pruitt and Brady Shivers will shoot for a three-peat when the Reese Memorial Day Partnership begins Saturday at Reese Golf Center.

The two-man low-ball tournament runs through Monday.

The two-time defending champions finished 54 holes at 35 under par two years ago, winning by eight strokes, and finished 29-under last year, winning by three. Last year, they started the final day two shots behind and shot 15-under 57 to overtake the 36-hole leaders.

It was the sixth time Pruitt has won the Reese Partnership, which begins the annual schedule of Lubbock major golf tournaments.

There are 16 teams in the championship flight. Among them are former Western Texas College teammates Ty Houtchens and Jakob Mikel, the champions in 2020, and Tucker Tovar and Beau Burgess, who won a playoff for second place last year.

Chris McAllister, who teamed with Kyle Gertner to win the title in 2019, is entered this weekend with Ryan Pollard.
