Reds first baseman Joey Votto has talked about what a significant influence Scott Rolen had on him when the two were teammates in Cincinnati from 2009 to 2012.
Rolen, a two-time All-Star for the Reds, was inducted Sunday into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. And Votto was among those offering congratulatory messages via social media.
The Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith wrote about how Rolen has had an impact not only on Votto but the 2023 Reds as a team.
