It appears that Samsung is developing a new laptop with dual displays. Recently, a new patent from the South Korean tech giant was discovered, and it reveals a design that is very similar to one of ASUS’s current notebook models. Let’s take a look at what this Samsung patent looks like.
The patent, which was spotted by 91mobiles, indicates that Samsung may be developing a laptop with dual displays. The brand had filed a patent application that seems to have some features in common with the ASUS ZenBook Fold model. For those who don’t know, the ZenBook Fold laptop from the Taiwanese PC manufacturer has a foldable 17.3-inch display. Depending on whether you fold it or use it with a wireless keyboard, you can use it as a single monitor panel, laptop, or even a tablet.

In other words, we can anticipate Samsung to include a comparable feature with their patented product. However, there is one significant difference between the recently patented Samsung device and the ZenBook Fold. The South Korean tech giant seems to have packed a physical keyboard on one side of the screen. This keyboard occupies a smaller space on a corner of the display’s lower half. This indicates that while it has a full foldable screen, it’s not an entirely all-display surface. Therefore, the portion that houses the keyboard might serve as a second display.

This suggests that this product might perform similarly to the dual-display ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo. There is a small area that could serve as the laptop’s touchpad on the side of the keyboard. Unfortunately, the patent does not provide further information about the device and does not specify any specifications. We may learn more about this patented Samsung foldable laptop in the near future.
