Samsung has launched the Galaxy Book2 Go and Galaxy Book2 Go 5G, a few weeks after showcasing the device during CES 2023. According to the company’s press release, 5G editions support dual-SIM connectivity but continue to rely on the same chipset as their Wi-Fi Fi-only siblings. As such, the entire Galaxy Book2 Go series utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Plus Gen 3 which contains four ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores, four Cortex-A55 CPU cores and an Adreno GPU.
Additionally, Samsung has confirmed that the machine’s 5G modem supports Sub-6 GHz 5G. The 14-inch IPS display and 42.3 Wh battery of the Wi-Fi-only model remain, as do the one USB 2.0 Type-A, two USB Type-C and MicroSD card connections. Samsung adds that the Galaxy Book2 Go 5G can recharge its 42.3 Wh battery at up to 45 W too, presumably via either of its USB Type-C ports.
The Galaxy Book2 Go 5G will be available later this month from Samsung and undisclosed third-party retailers. So far, Samsung has only confirmed UK pricing, which starts at £499 for the Wi-Fi-only edition with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the machine will be available with a 5G modem from £649, although Samsung will charge £749 for more than 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. As far as we can tell, no memory components are replaceable or upgradeable. The full price list for the Galaxy Book2 Go is as follows:
- Galaxy Book2 Go (4 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage, Silver) – £499 RRP
- Galaxy Book2 Go 5G (4 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage, Silver) – £649 RRP
- Galaxy Book2 Go 5G (8 GB RAM, 256 GB Storage, Silver) – £749 RRP
