It’s an early start for the Rocket Mortgage Classic 2023 final round Sunday at Detroit Golf Club.
The players will tee off in threesomes from both the Nos. 1 and 10 tees, beginning at 6:45 am The leaders will be off at 8:55 am
Rickie Fowler, the fan favorite in search of his first win on the PGA Tour since 2019, holds a one-shot advantage at 20 under par over Adam Hadwin and two shots over Taylor Pendrith. Both chasers are Canadians. Hadwin became the fourth player in the five-year tournament to shoot a course-record tying 9-under 63 on Saturday. Pendrith played in the final pairing last year alongside eventual champion Tony Finau and finished tied for second.
Fowler shot an 8-under-par 64 with six birdies on his final eight holes to overtake his competitors, hitting 17 greens in regulation. Fowler is making his 96th start since his win at the Waste Management Open in Phoenix.
Collin Morikawa, a two-time major champion, lurks at 16-under tied for sixth.
